Balcony House is a large cliff dwelling in Mesa Verde NP with 40 rooms. The settlement is named after the wall at the cliff edge which forms a balcony like structure. Balcony House is unique among the cliff dwellings as it has many architectural features, such as extremely narrow passages and tunnels, that seem to be designed as choke points for defense.
