Hong Kong Island is synonymous with
Hong Kong for many tourists and visitors. The island is a juxtaposition of the old and new with ultra moderns skyrises and financial centers, old historic temples, and bustling markets. The entire area is a tourist attraction, and I believe the best way to see it is on foot walking from the modern areas of Wan Chai and Central to the more traditional Western district. Of course, one should not miss the views from Victoria Peak which overlooks the entire island.
