Man Mo Temple Photos

Hong Kong

The Man Mo Temple is dedicated to the god of literature, Man Ti (Man Cheong) and the god of war and martial arts, Mo Tai (Kwan Ti or Kuan Kung). The temple was built in the 1840s and is one of the oldest in Hong Kong. Inside the temple are hundred of burning incense coils which can take weeks to burn. The coils surround red tags on which prayers are written. The temple is located in the Western district on Hollywood Road at the corner of Ladder Street. It is open daily (9am-6pm) and admission is free to visitors.
