Wong Tai Sin is the god of good fortune and his temple is one of the most famous landmarks in Hong Kong. Over three million people visit the temple every year and many come to make offerings and have their future predicted with the practice of Kau Cim, a form of Chinese fortune telling. In Kau Cim, a person thinks about a particular question they would like answered. They then grab a small bamboo bucket which contains a number of inscribed flat sticks known as Kau Cim Sticks (or simply chim sticks). The bucket is shaken until at least one stick, representing the answer, leaves the bucket. Behind the temple is the Good Wish Garden.
