Central Coast, California

1. Overview - 2. McWay Cove - 3. Bixby to Rocky Creek Bridge

Bixby Creek Bridge is an historic landmark and symbolizes the beauty of California's Big Sur Coast. The bridge was built in 1932 and is an arch bridge with open spandrel design. It was made from reinforced concrete and is 713 feet long by 24 feet wide. The bridge is a major stopping point for tourists driving along Highway 1.

Rocky Creek Bridge is located just north of Bixby Bridge and is often mistaken for its more famous sibling since it is also an open spandral design.
