I wrote this site in plain html with the exception of a few style sheet commands to control the appearance of hyperlinks. I firmly believe in simple site designs and I have strived for an uncluttered interface that makes it easy to access content.

I use the HomeSite HTML editor which is laden with more features than I will ever use. It has a nice search and replace function that works over multiple files, but any decent editor should have this ability.

To get digital images, I scan my slides and negatives with a Minolta 5400 scanner. This yields files that are approximately 100 megabytes large (double this in 16bit mode). I then process the raw image files in Photoshop for sharpening and colour correction.

Update 2004/1/11: I have rebuilt the internals of my site using a combination of static html generated by automatic Perl scripts and PHP with a MySQL database.
