Nan Lian Garden opened in November 2006 and is often described as an "oasis of calm" given that it is located in an extremely densely populated area of Hong Kong. The garden cover 3.5 hectares and was built in the style of the Tang Dynasty. The garden is filled with several wooden structures and is landscaped with many old trees and unusual rocks. In the center of the garden, lies a golden pagoda known as the Pavilion of Absolute Perfection. The garden is adjacent to the Chi Lin Nunnery and is close to the Diamond Hill MTR station.
