Star Ferry Photos

The Star Ferry is an icon of Hong Kong and has operated since 1888 carrying passengers across Victoria Harbor. Currently, there are 12 diesel powered double-decker boats that carry about 100,000 passengers a day. The main route connects Central with Tsim Sha Tsui, but there are also routes between Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui, as well as Hung Hom to Central and Wan Chai. The fare is only a few Hong Kong Dollars and the ferry provides stunning views of Victoria Harbor and Central's skyscrapers.
