Victoria Harbor is the stretch of water between Hong Kong Island and the Koowloon Peninsula. The harbor provides beautiful views of Hong Kong Island and at night you can see the Symphony of Lights, a light and laser show where buildings on both sides of the harbor are illuminated. The show is augmented by fireworks on special holidays. In the harbor itself, one can see many maritime vessels including junks, ferries, fishing boats, container ships, barges, cruise liners, and motorboats. Many locals also fish from the waterfront. The best place to view the harbor is from Victoria Peak or the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui.
