The Korean Folk Village opened in Yong-in City, South Korea in October 1974. The site was built by relocating approximately 30 traditional villages to the museum site. Many Korean school children visit the village every year to learn about their ancestral culture, but the site is also popular with visitors from all over the world. Nearly 1.8 million people visit the Korean Folk Village every year.
