Photos of the Sacred Valley. The Sacred Valley of the Incas was the heart of Incan Empire and was (and still is) an extremely fertile agricultural region. It covers the area running from Pisac to Ollantaytambo along the Urubamba River, with Cusco sitting near the southern end. Within the Sacred Valley there are many Incan sites and archaeological remains.
